Hornworms are an excellent choice for picky reptiles and are often considered a “magic trick” for breaking a hunger strike. Their bright blue-green color makes them highly enticing, even to reluctant eaters. In addition, hornworms have a high moisture content, making them a great option for helping to rehydrate your pet.

However, they should not be used as a staple feeder due to their nutritional balance. Instead, offer them occasionally as a treat or supplement to a varied diet.
