Welcome to Lace Canopy Exotics! By accessing or using our website, purchasing products, or engaging with our services, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

  • Customers must be 18 years or older to purchase live insects or products.
  • By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding live insects. 

2. Orders & Acceptance

  • All orders are subject to availability.
  • Lace Canopy Exotics reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders for any reason, including suspected fraud, incorrect information, or regulatory restrictions.
  • Payment must be completed before an order is processed.

3. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices listed on the website are in USD and subject to change without notice.
  • All payments must be authorized and completed through the available payment methods.
  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and are non-refundable.

4. Live Arrival & Product Disclaimer

  • Live insects are perishable and fragile.
  • Our Live Arrival Guarantee applies only when:
    1. Approved shipping methods are selected (Hold for Pickup, Express, Overnight, or Next-Day), and
    2. All shipping instructions are followed.
  • Lace Canopy Exotics is not responsible for DOA insects if shipping or handling instructions are ignored.

5. Local Delivery

  • Customers must provide a safe handoff location for local delivery.
  • If orders are left unattended at the request of the customer, Lace Canopy Exotics is not liable for DOA insects or missing packages due to theft, weather, or other risks.

6. Returns & Refunds

  • Live insects: Cannot be returned; no refunds issued. Replacement may be provided under Live Arrival Guarantee if conditions are met.
  • Non-live products: May be returned unopened and in original condition for a refund to the original payment method.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.

7. Customer Responsibilities

  • Monitor shipments and receive orders promptly.
  • Ensure proper care and handling of live feeders per care guides.
  • Failure to follow care instructions may result in injury or death of the insects, which is not covered by any guarantee.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • Lace Canopy Exotics is not responsible for:
    • Injury or illness to pets consuming feeders
    • Allergic reactions in humans or pets
    • Losses caused by carriers, weather, theft, or mishandling after delivery
  • Liability is limited to replacement of eligible products only under the Live Arrival Guarantee.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All website content, images, logos, text, and guides are the property of Lace Canopy Exotics.
  • Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited.

10. Force Majeure

  • Lace Canopy Exotics is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, weather emergencies, road closures, or carrier interruptions.

11. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA.
  • Any disputes arising from the website, orders, or services will be subject to the jurisdiction of Colorado courts.

12. Changes to Terms

  • Lace Canopy Exotics reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time.
  • Updated terms will be posted on the website, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the changes.
