Local Delivery Service Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing Lace Canopy Exotics. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read all sections carefully before purchasing.
1. Service Areas
Local Delivery:
Free delivery is available to Pueblo West and Pueblo.
Delivery to Extended Areas:
Delivery to Colorado Springs, Denver and South of Pueblo is available on select days only. Please contact us prior to placing your order to confirm availability. Additional fees apply for delivery.
Local Pickup:
Pickup is available at our Pueblo West location by appointment. *Please note Local pick-up is a curbside service only. Our facilities are not open to the public.
Shipping:
Nationwide shipping is available. Shipping rates and options are calculated at checkout.
2. Delivery Scheduling
Local deliveries are made during business hours. Customers may select preferred delivery windows at checkout; however, exact delivery times are not guaranteed.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery addresses and up-to-date contact information. Lace Canopy Exotics is not responsible for issues resulting from incorrect or incomplete information.
3. Customer Responsibilities

A responsible party must be present to receive live insect deliveries.

Customers must follow all recommended temperature precautions and care guidelines for sensitive feeders, including but not limited to silkworms, hornworms, Dubia roaches, and BSFL.

Once delivery is completed, full responsibility for the care, handling, storage, and feeding of live insects transfers to the customer.

Lace Canopy Exotics is not responsible for allergic reactions in humans or pets.

All feeding and care instructions are provided as general guidelines only; outcomes may vary and remain the responsibility of the customer.
4. Unattended Deliveries
If a customer requests that an order be left unattended (e.g., at a door or designated location), the customer assumes all risk.
Lace Canopy Exotics is not liable for:

Dead on Arrival (DOA) insects

Theft or missing packages

Weather-related damage
-
Delays in retrieval after delivery
We strongly recommend that someone be present to receive all live deliveries.
5. Weather & Temperature Disclaimer
Customers are responsible for monitoring local weather conditions at the time of delivery.
Lace Canopy Exotics is not responsible for losses caused by extreme temperatures, improper handling, or failure to follow care guidelines after delivery. We reserve the right to delay or reschedule shipments when weather conditions pose a risk to live insects.
6. Incorrect Address & Failed Delivery
Orders affected by incorrect addresses, incomplete information, or failed delivery attempts are not eligible for refunds.
Additional fees may apply for reshipping or redelivery.
7. Delays
Lace Canopy Exotics is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
When possible, updates regarding delays will be communicated via our website, social media, or email.
8. Product Condition & Variability
Due to the nature of live insects, variations in size, color, and activity levels are normal and do not constitute defects.
9. Liability
Lace Canopy Exotics is not responsible for:

Damage or loss resulting from improper handling after delivery

Customer misuse or failure to follow care instructions

Any indirect or consequential damages related to the use of our products
10. Orders, Payments, & Refunds

All orders are subject to availability.

Lace Canopy Exotics reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at its discretion.

Full payment is required before order processing.

All sales are final unless explicitly stated otherwise.
